Ms. Parker has over 33 years of social services experience, working with families and individuals who have faced numerous adversities, including various types of abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse, food insecurity, extreme poverty, and mental health issues. She has worked at all levels of the organization, from case management to administrative management. She retired in April 2017 and is self-employed as the CEO of the Parker Institute for Excellence LLC, a consulting firm that provides management consulting, professional development, family life education services, and consultation services to nonprofits, including board development, strategic planning, 501 (c) 3 establishment, and grant writing and management. She is also President of the Global Center for Creative Learning LLC, a training consulting company that develops and delivers cohort-based supervisory, instructor-led and eLearning training.

Ms. Parker has been involved in the development and delivery of training programs for over 32 years for government, religious, educational, private and nonprofit organizations. She also has over 26 years of management experience. Ms. Parker also provides technical assistance, management consulting, organizational assessments, and process improvement services to organizations.

Ms. Parker holds a BS degree in Counselor Education, an MS in Individual and Family Development, and a Human Development Consultant Certificate. She also holds many certifications including ACE Master Trainer, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), facilitation, and grants consulting. She is also a Certified Family Life Education and Parent Educator. The Certified Family Life Educator designation is a nationally recognized standard in Family Life Education and validates a professional’s experience and knowledge in 10 content areas including family dynamics, interpersonal relationships, parenting, human sexuality, human development throughout the lifespan, and resource management.
